Planet Mouraz
A biodynamically farmed project from Casa de Mouraz in the Dão run by António Ribeiro and Sara Dionísio. The label is used for experimental wines from very old or abandoned vineyards, often field-blends of white and red varieties, made with minimal or no added sulphur and sometimes skin contact or herbal infusions such as chestnut-flower tea. The resulting bottlings are lively, textural wines that sit outside the Dão DOC, emphasising freshness, drinkability and low-intervention experimentation rather than strict typicity.
Planet Mouraz Branco Dão
From over 20 local white varieties. This is a field blend of grapes grown in the village of Mouraz not far from the Caramulo mountains. They are co-harvested and co-fermented, spending roughly 8 months aging in steel tanks. Deliciously textured, aromatic, inviting and moreish.
Planet Mouraz Tinto Dão
The red sibling of our Branco from Sara and António's estate. Deeply rooted in the Dão's tradition of field-blend co-fermentation, this carries the region's hallmark freshness and structure. red cherry, dried herbs, earthy spice, and a cool mineral spine that no other Portuguese region quite replicates.
