Bianka and Daniel Schmitt
In 2012 Bianka and Daniel Schmitt took the helm of the winery in Flörsheim-Dalsheim as the 4th generation. They’ve since cultivated some 16 hectares of biodynamically driven vineyards. Their mission, to allow the terroir and themselves, to speak through the wines. Now, Hungarian varieties from Bianka’s homeland, Furmint and Bläufrankish are co-planted amongst the fine grapes of the region, Reisling and Spätburgunder. The wines exemplify origin, and clarity, radiating the essence of their terroir.
Freiheit Riesling
A whole cluster ferment, in 500 ltr oak. The result is an incredibly lively riesling, with striking fruit. When freshly opened, it smells exotic of passion fruit, pineapple, but also gooseberries and ripe yellow pears.

Freiheit Müller Thurgau
Direct press with skins and stems, matured in 3000 litre oak barrels. The Müller has an intense yet fresh nose. The palate offers a complex, almost savoury quality, with a touch of bitterness to round it off.

Monsheimer Sylvaner
Sylaner fermented on skins for two weeks, then aged in 3000 litre oak barrels. This one has an incredible nose, that blew us away when we first tried. a real star.

Harvest from the lower slopes of the Frauenberg in Flörsheim-dalsheim, where limestone rich soils define the character. Mineral driven, dry and true to its varietal. A beautiful ode to bianka’s Hungarian roots.

Nieder-Flörsheiner Pinot Noir
From the burgundy clone 777, grown in the Nieder-Flörsheim vineyards, aged in double oak casks. This pinot is lovely and elegant, with a fine structure and driven fruit.
