Agricola 45

A project by Maddalena Pasquetti, of I Mandorli fame, and her husband Alessia Miliotti, born from the desire to rescue abandoned vineyards and vinifying different terroirs. The grapes are coming from two different estates in Pistoia and in Chianti Classico, but the approach is completely detached from any preconceived idea of 'appellation' and focuses only on the expression of every particular terroir and microclimate.

Rosso 'Quasirosso'

Sangiovese and Merlot grapes are hand-harvested grapes are destemmed and pressed by machine, and the resulting juice is fermented without maceration. The result is a wine with pale red hue. On tasting, it is vibrant and full, with a pronounced salinity.

Rosso 'Rosso 45'

Made from Sangiovese, Syrah, and Merlot grapes grown on 1.5 hectares on the hills near Pistoia. The grapes are hand-picked, destemmed, and machine-crushed. They macerate on the skins for five days, after which they ferment spontaneously.

It's a wine with an intense red hue, with a nose of ripe red fruit, and dried grass. The palate is juicy and displays good persistence, thanks to its discreet tannins blended well with the acidity that enhances its depth.
