Gregoletto

The Gregoletto family has been involved in wine making on the hills of Premaor di Miane, near Valdobbiadene, since the 15th century. They produced semi-sparkling wines in the traditional way 'col fondo' (on the kees), long before pet-nats became popular, and they are also one of the last producers focusing on Verdiso, a local grape too often relegated to the role of blending partner with Glera in the production of Prosecco. Gregoletto wines are pure, fragrant and not without a touch of charming rusticity that makes them dangerously drinkable.

Prosecco DOC Frizzante Sui Lieviti

A very special wine made from the rare white Verdiso grape variety. Fermentation took place in stainless steel and was triggered by indigenous yeast. The refermentation for this sparkling wine took place in the bottle and not in a conventional, pressurised tank.

Fresh apple and bread nose. Refreshing palate of white fruit with a hint of lees, distinctly dry and elegant.

Bianco Frizzante Sui Lieviti 'Il Familiare'

The  sui lieviti  bottlings represent the history of the region before the invention of the champagne method. The secondary fermentation takes place slowly in the bottle, and a fine sediment forms at the bottom of the bottle – by pouring the wine carefully, the sediment can easily be left in the bottle. The Gregolettos recommend using the little wine for this  fondue  or for the leftover filling to make risotto! Don’t worry, it’s perfectly safe to drink.
