Maison Valette

Philippe Valette is the 3rd generation farming this 8.5 hectare estate in Chaintré, one of the southernmost villages in the Macônnais region. Together with his wife Cécile they decided to abandon the use of chemicals back in the early 90s, and they can be rightfully considered some of the pioneers of natural wine making in Burgundy. Time and patience are two of the main ingredients of their wines, as they are aged in old oak barrels for up to 5 years. Textural, deep and energetic wines, of unique elegance and complexity.
