Ansitz Dornach

In 2008, Patrick Uccelli took over the family estate, a miniscule winery in Salorno, in the southern part of Alto Adige. Together with his wife, Karoline, they converted the vineyards to biodynamic farming. They grow mainly Pinot Bianco and Pinot Nero, and for each variety they make a wine in a lighter, more youthful style as well as one with greater depth and complexity.  

Louis Bianco ‘41’

White flowers, harmonious acid, slight minerality. Light and refreshing with a true summer character which presents white flowers and a lovely salinity.

Bianco ‘32’

On the nose it evokes aromas of white flowers, peach and flint; In the mouth it has a pronounced acidity and a great taste of minerality, while remaining juicy and balanced.

Louis Macerato ‘49’

Fruity, fresh and velvety soft. The Pinot Grigio is left in contact with skins and stems, to make for a “thirsty Wine”.

Louis Rosso ‘55’

an alpine Pinot Nero that bursts with pleasure and personality. It’s elegant and lovely but don’t let the almost translucent hue fool you. This is serious wine, full of pure fresh fruit, Wild strawberries and rhubarb.

Pinot Nero ‘24’

The #24 is a Pinot Noir which thrives on elegance and tension. A blend of 50% whole cluster fermented Pinot Noir and 50% de-stemmed, whole berry Pinot Noir. Using stems in the Alto Adige is practically unheard of. Fermented in stainless steel & spends 24 months in large oak. This has a beautiful color. Light, brick red at the edge. Red fruits on the nose and a hint of sweetness. Excellent on the palate with lovely elegance and tension
