Canalicchio di Sopra is one of Montalcino’s historic wineries. Founded in the early 1960s, their first wine was released in 1966, and the following year they were one of the 12 founding members of the Consorzio del Vino Brunello di Montalcino.

Rosso di Montalcino

Freshly cut flowers, sweet red berries, mint, anise and tobacco lift out of the glass. Marries expressive aromatics and wonderfully translucent fruit, all supported by a classic sense of structure. This is a fabulous Rosso with tons of near and medium-term appeal.

Brunello di Montalcino

Intense aromas of red cherry, licorice and tar. Deep dense and suave, with youthfully chewy tannins and a slightly herbal nuance to the dark plum and coffee flavors. This brooding, strapping Brunello will require patience.
